SOMATIC WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN, TEENS AND PARENTS
Nervous system regulation for the whole community.
An 8-week group program in nervous system literacy for parents, children, and teens — that can be brought into schools, community organizations, companies, wellness centers, and international settings.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Most of us were never taught the language of our own inner landscape. This program changes that — in a room full of people who are ready to feel steady again.
Because surviving and parenting, and growing up takes a toll on the nervous system.
Whether you are a parent navigating the emotional weight of a new country, a child trying to make sense of big feelings, or a teenager who has never been given the actual science of what is happening inside them, this program meets you where you are.
Over eight weeks, each group has their own dedicated space — separate tracks, the same foundational language, so that families and communities can begin to share a common understanding of what is happening inside them, and what helps.
All sessions are embodied, evidence-informed, and held with the kind of warmth and steadiness that this work requires. No clinical distance. No jargon for jargon's sake. Just real tools, real science, and a room that feels safe enough to actually use them.
This program was designed for communities ready to do real work.
A body-centered, science-grounded program for people who want to understand themselves from the inside out.
The right setting is any environment where people are already in relationship with each other — schools, international community organizations, faith communities, wellness centers, or workplaces that care about the whole person.
International & Expat Communities
Navigating a new country while managing family and work creates real nervous system load. This program offers a shared language for the pressure that often goes unnamed.
Schools & Educational Settings
Delivered during, as an after-school enrichment program, or wellness series, this curriculum supports emotional literacy alongside academic learning in a developmentally appropriate way.
Community Organizations, Corporations & Wellness Centers
For organizations and companies already invested in the wellbeing of their members and employees, this program brings a structured, evidence-informed framework that goes deeper than a single workshop.
Families Who Want a Shared Vocabulary
When parents and children are enrolled in parallel tracks, something shifts in the household. A shared nervous system language makes connection more possible and repair after conflict easier.
Concepts that live in the body, not just the mind.
Every session is built around a core framework — introduced gently, explored somatically, and given time to settle before the next week builds on it. The goal is not intellectual understanding. It is embodied knowing.
Our Core Framework
Understand your three primary nervous system states — safe and connected, activated, or shut down — plus the fawn response: the people-pleasing, over-accommodating, conflict-avoiding survival strategy the nervous system uses to create safety by managing those around us. Adapted for each age group using language that actually lands.
01
Polyvagal Theory
Discover why logic does not always win when we are overwhelmed. Learn what happens neurologically when we move into survival mode — and how to work with the brain we actually have, not the one we wish we had.
02
The Triune Brain
Map your personal range — the zone where thinking, feeling, and connecting all work together. Learn what narrows it, what widens it, and how to find your way back when you have moved outside it.
03
Window of Tolerance
Meet the inner voices, patterns, and protectors that drive so many of our reactions. Understand them with curiosity rather than judgment — and access the steady, grounded core that can hold all of them.
04
Parts Work
Every session opens and closes with a body-centered practice — breath, movement, sensory grounding, or orienting. These tools become a personal regulation toolkit that participants carry long after the 8 weeks are over.
05
Somatic Practices
Every session follows the same rhythm.
The structure is intentional — designed to orient the nervous system, create enough safety for real learning, and close with integration. Participants know what to expect, which is itself a form of safety.
Sessions run approximately 60–75 minutes. Group size is kept between 6 and 12 participants to hold the relational safety this work requires.
A bridge session in Week 7 of the children's tracks invites parents in for a shared practice — so that nervous system language can travel home.
Our Structure
Opening Somatic Practice
Breath, movement, sensory grounding, or orienting — a different practice each week, building a personal toolkit over time.
Core Curriculum Content
40–50 minutes of developmentally appropriate, embodied exploration of the week's framework. Taught through discussion, movement, art, reflection, or experiential activity — depending on the age group.
Group Activity or Reflection
Integrating the week's concept through shared experience — because learning in the body requires doing, not just hearing.
Closing Somatic Practice
Settle and integrate before leaving the space. Each closing practice is different from the opening — building range and variety in the toolkit.
Somatic Journaling Prompt
In designated weeks, a body-centered reflection prompt continues the work between sessions — extending integration beyond the room.
Separate spaces. One shared language.
Each group has its own dedicated container — developmentally appropriate, relationally held, and built so that every participant feels like this was made for them.
Our Programs
A space that belongs entirely to you — not you as a parent, but you as a whole person. Eight weeks to understand your own patterns, build a sustainable regulation practice, and find the steadiness that makes everything else more possible.
FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS
Story, movement, art, and play introduce young children to the language of the body — using color-coded states, animal breathing, inner crew characters, and body awareness games. All feelings are welcome here.
MY BODY'S SUPERPOWER (AGES 5-8)
Simple language neuroscience, honest conversation, and tools that actually work — delivered without talking down. Tweens learn to map their own inner terrain and build a toolkit grounded in how the brain functions under real pressure.
MY BRAIN IS MY HOME (AGES 9-12)
Evidence-informed neuroscience delivered with full respect for the intelligence teens bring to the room. Deep somatic practice, honest parts work, and a nervous system literacy that grows with them into adulthood.
THE SCIENCE OF YOUR INNER WORLD (AGES 13-18)
